Paulette (Paul Smith cst 1)


Los Angeles based, British born, Paulette Ivory is one of London’s acclaimed Singer/ Actresses. After originating the role of Nala in London’s THE LION KING, she went on to be cast in the title role of ‘Aida’ in Elton John and Disney’s AIDA on the National US tour to critical acclaim. Nominated for a HELEN HAYES Award for best lead actress and winner of a Carbonell Award, Paulette also performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC after being nominated there for her role as Aida.

Other theatre credits include: FELA (Broadway, National Theater UK and world tour) playing the female lead Sandra Izsadore, produced by Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and Jay Z, PURLIE (NAACP nomination for best lead actress), RAGTIME Sarah (LA), BLUES IN THE NIGHT (US & London), A WOMAN OF NO IMPORTANCE (Royal Shakespeare Co), BABY ITS YOU, SMOKEY JOE’S CAFÉ, THE HOT MIKADO. TV/film credits include: CRIMINAL MINDS, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, NUMB3RS, GIRLFRIENDS, STRONG MEDICINE, DOCTORS, EASTENDERS, LORDS OF DOGTOWN.

Paulette also opened the star studded ‘THE ROYAL VARIETY SHOW’ in London with the hit song “HISTORY REPEATING” in the presence of Prince Charles and the royal family. She has also performed at Kensington Palace at the request of Prince Charles for African dignitaries. Paulette was part of the “West End stars” event in Kuala Lumpa that was televised by Oz Entertainment. And she has also been lucky enough to sing at the Royal Festival Hall. Showcasing her other talents, Paulette wrote and starred in her first short film titled ‘In Destiny’s hands’ & has a web series called ‘My life lesson’. She is also proud to have been honored with the key to the City Of Birmingham Alabama whilst performing as AIDA.
